Photos from 11th Nov workday with 3 volunteers, we removed invasive species such as Holm Oak and Snowberry to let the native species expand and created a deadhedge around the first meadow for insects and mammals such as hedgehogs

The Friends will be clearing invasive species to open up the woodland floor to allow the light to reach it for the native flora to expand. For further information contact the Friends. Please wear suitable clothing and Steel toecap footwear for the weather. Tools will be supplied. Please bring gloves

Friends of Garthorne Road Nature Reserve Workday Saturday 21st October 10:00am – 1:00pm

We will be finishing off the steps installed last year and putting some more steps and hand rails at the north end of the reserve, this task involves some heavy lifting.
Please wear appropriate clothing & steel toe tap boots and bring gloves if you have them.

First Task Day Saturday 30th September 10am – 1pm

We will be removing invasive species such as Holm Oak and garden escapes to allow native species to grow and creating a dead hedge with the cutting, also litter picking the reserve. Please bring gloves and tools if you have them. Bring a picnic a make a day of it.
