Who we are:
Friends of Garthorne Road Nature Reserve thereafter (Us or We) are a group of residents and others whose objects are:
- To conserve and restore and improve the reserve as an area of ecological significance an increase the biodiversity of the reserve.
- To promote the benefit of inhabitants of London and in particular the Borough of Lewisham by advancing education and providing facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
1.) Purpose of this Policy
This Privacy Policy sets out what personal data we collect and use, for what purposes and to whom your personal data may be disclosed by us in the context of these Mailings. Further, this Privacy Policy includes important information regarding your rights with respect to the processing of your personal data. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy very carefully.
We are a forum for the reserve users to discuss issues, run events at Garthorne Road Nature Reserve and work in partnership with Lewisham Council Conservation section.
From time to time, we may need to change this Privacy Policy. The most recent version of this Privacy Policy is available on our website. In case of important changes of our Privacy Policy, we will inform you on these changes.

We have a combined mailing list which stores your personal information so that we can advise you of our activities. In the context of our mailings, we collect your personal data because you have asked to be a member our mailing lists and to be notified of our activities.

We obtain information about you directly from you from the information you provided to us when you join our mailing lists.

We will ensure that, where relevant, safeguards are implemented to ensure the protection of your personal data. Only the following persons of ‘The group’ includes Chair/Conservation Co-ordinator and Secretary has access to your personal data.

We will store your personal data as listed above until you inform us that you no longer wish to receive our mailings, we cease sending the relevant mailing, or your email address is no longer in use.
